Capitalist Party arranges National Congress on saturday 30 April 2016.
OSLO – Capitalist Party has selected Saturday, April 30th as the official date for the 2016 Capitalist Party National Congress.
It has been an active year for the party since its first national congress. Achieving formation in every Norwegian county and running in the 2015 Oslo election, Capitalist Party has been developing at a rapid pace.
“Reaching 1,000 members is a goal many likely assumed would take much longer to achieve during the party’s establishment,” said party leader, Arnt Rune Flekstad. “Now that we have reached this remarkable point, we forge ahead into 2016 with increasing momentum, and eagerly look forward to our second congress in April.”
Last year’s congress was attended by members from throughout the nation with leaders and scholars from numerous countries. It is an event to adopt policy, examine relevant political issues, and hear experts address the progression of liberty in Norway and around the world.
“This process is not a sprint, it is a marathon,” said Flekstad. That mode of diligence is also demonstrated by the party’s youth wing as they continue their national tour acquiring the state mandated signatures permitting Capitalist Party to compete in the 2017 national election. “There is a lot of excitement in Liberty Youth right now,” Fredrik Laving explains, leader of the youth organization, “Since the beginning of this year, we have visited approximately 20 high schools and have garnered over 2,200 of the 5,000 required signatures. With locations booked nearly every day, we are working hard until our goal is achieved.”
As Capitalist Party exhibits unprecedented success, there is much to look forward to at this year’s congress.
“The progress in 2016 has been our best yet,” Flekstad said, “with increasing activity and engagement around the country, along with rising membership and continued presence in national polls, there is no doubt that support for liberty and individual freedom is alive among the Norwegian people.”
